Third massive banning
On 2nd April 2009 CipSoft banned 5103 accounts for using unofficial software. How many of them come from Unitera? I guess a lot. The results are easily noticeable. The queues for free accounts are much shorter than before and hunting places less overcrowded. Players that were already banned during previous massive banning lost their accounts forever. Some of them got their first warning and one month to consider their behaviour. Beware botters!
First 300 level on Unitera
On 25th March 2009 player Raynex, well-known Royal Paladin reached 300lvl. Unfortunatelly he died 5 days later by demon, but eventually he reached it again. Congratulations!

What we can conclude after checking this list is that: Wes Fengos, i guess that you need more members in your guild.
The economy after the Summer 2008 Update.
Who remembers the Port Hope update (7.5) and the introduction of hydras? Probably just a few, Unitera didn’t exist at that time, but those whom were players in the 2005 update noticed the change in the economy. Hydras were a fresh air for the tibians, Knight Armor was a exclusive loot from Giant Spiders and Black Knights; Boots of Haste from Necromancers only and Royal Helmets from Dragon Lords. Prices went down? Surely, but it didn’t change so much as the 8.4 update (or the Yalahar update which i call as the OT update).
How the update changed the economy completely? (Yes, completely) If you have a Knight with a level higher than 79 you should hate Cipsoft, first they take off your ultimate healing runes and now they made you sell your magic plate armor. That Yalahari Armor, it was beautiful in the beginning, wasn’t it? Magic Plate Armor price went drastically down, the new armor price went even higher than the most famous armor in tibia ’til the moment. Then Cipsoft saw what they did. No one can deny, Yalahari Armor was too much for such a small effort, best armor in the entire game for a quest that could be done by a service. But, anyway, Cipsoft diminished the armor value and it wasn’t the best armor anymore, so it’s price went down (from 400k+ to 100k nowadays) and every single knight around got pissed off searching for a way to get his Magic Plate Armor back, even if the price of the E-plate went down too, but for other reasons.
In the 8.4 we received vocation requirements for several equipments. One day, that level 200 mage woke up and he couldn’t wear his Golden Legs anymore, not even his Magic Plate Armor, so their prices went down, big offer, small demand, old rules as you know. After the update those equipments became a “knight only”, of course, paladins are able to use them as well, but why should them if they could get a huge skill boost wearing the new Yalahar Legs Piece and a Master Archer Armor? Maybe a paladin armor for the lower levels.
Talking about the Paladin Armor, before the update we could constantly see botters in the Edron Bog Raiders (well, there’s any place we can’t see bots nowadays? We should check Kharos once in a while), so we had a big offer of Paladin Armors for a reasonable price. So why the price is almost the same now after the update? Bogs are a pain in the ass now and can combo for 600 damage in a turn (wow!), this way you need more potions to kill bogs so it costs more, with the new huge respawn in Yalahar we got more Paladin Armors to offer but since they cost more to get, the price is almost the same.
Those huge respawns made a big change in the economy, before the update you had to walk a lot to reach Necromancers, Heroes or Demons, now you can reach them in 10 minutes, since more people are hunting these monsters we have more itens in the market, suddenly, their prices started to go down, not so much about the Demon loot, it was much more affected by the vocation requirements, but the Crown Legs (specially with the Blue Legs around) became a item for outfits and that’s it, the Boots of Haste price dropped from 45k to less than 40k, and these are just common examples.
But, well, those new monsters are the most guilty reasons for the new shattered economy:
The most valid examples would be the addon itens’ price after the update. Now there’s 2 creatures, one dropping Magic Sulphur and constantly hunted (Infernalist) and another one which can drop Warrior’s Sweat (Undead Gladiator). A Warrior Helmet never costed much more than its Djinn price because of the Crusader Helmet, but the Fire Sword used to cost around 5k, since it was a good weapon for low levels and an item needed for addons, for a Magic Sulphur you needed 3 Fire Swords so it would cost around 15k. Now that you can loot those the price went down, some people still trying to sell those for the old price, probably without success, you can find the price between 8k (npc price) and 11k nowadays. The warrior’s sweat can be found for 18k.
Some rare itens got shocked with the new update. Those whom killed Yakchal for hours trying to get a Queen’s Sceptre probably got angry when the Infernalists came with the item in the loot list. The Shadow Sceptre looted only by Spectres before the update can be found in Nightmare Scions now. The price was around 300k before the update, can be found for 15k nowadays…
But, ok, let’s try to be nice to the new update in the ending of this little article.
Even screwing mages completely, now you can sell all the elemental sets to Rashid, this didn’t make the Magma Set cheaper, it’s price is always higher than the NPC price, but if you start thinking about the other sets: Lightning Set was cheap because biggest part of Energy based creatures sucks, you could buy an entire set for the price of a Lightning Robe nowadays, same thing for the Terra Set, Glacier Set was a bit more expansive but not that much. Now that the mages can’t use any kind of heavy equipment the elemental sets are their best choice, so they got even more screwed.
Itens getting cheaper, mages getting more wastes, that’s Tibia.

Shadowed Ghost Banned
The Master Sorcerer Shadowed Ghost, level 224, was banned yesterday for being caught using an illegal software usually known as bot.
Shadowed was a known botter around the experienced Unitera players, his other characters, one of them leading a war in Solera got banned as well.
This week has been looking like the start of the war against cheating in Unitera, we never had so many Gamemasters coming to the world and having some good work done. I saw at least three gamemasters in a week and that’s almost my statistics for three months!
After Mirade’s article about cheating we can light that little hope candle in our head and wait. Changes are happening. The hammer will fall on the cheaters.
Good vacation to Shadowed, try playing fair next time, you got a final warning.

In the middle of a POI service hosted by Raynex and his team, while making the third seal they had a big surprise. Massacre, as you can see in the screenshot, appeared to haunt our adventurers. Its attempt to kill the team failed.
17:59 You lose 1315 hitpoints due to an attack by Massacre.
Due to the great job of the team Massacre was defeated, the best item it dropped was a Piece of Massacre’s Shell, the first on Unitera.

Pirate Raids
Two Pirate raids in the last three days attacked Liberty Bay town. In the hope of finding a boss a great part of community went there. Unfortunately, the raids looked more like a Smuggler raid than any Pirate one we ever saw.

Big Trouble in Little Thais
Tarascan Hero calls for help in the specific channel, he was being scammed by a botter shooting infinite worms and gold coins on his Justice Avenger.
The Gamemaster was called, but as usual, didn’t come at time.
The biggest problem about this kind of event is that just a few members of the community help and the depot turns into a mess.
After those “few” uniterans helped to control the depot, Tarascan started to remove the trash from his depot. And in the end…
Congratulations to Tarascan for recovering the sword, now put those fingers in a warm water b’cause they must be exhausted!
